I am thrilled to be able to share some inspirational art and design with you every Tuesday as Rachael’s ‘Art and Creative Writer’. This week I’m featuring the work of textile artist, Maxine Sutton.

Maxine graduated from an MA in Constructed Textiles at the Royal College of Art in 2005. She is committed to using sustainable methods and materials in her work and employs techniques such as appliqué, patchwork, needle-punch and screen printing.

She has collaborated with Heal’s, Brown’s, Anthropologie and Selvedge magazine on a variety of of work ranging from illustration to rug design. You can see more of her amazing creations on her website. More inspiration next week, Justine x
